The cornea is where optics and structure meet — a tissue that is two-thirds of the eye’s focusing power and only half a millimetre thick, that must stay transparent for a lifetime while defending the eye from a hostile environment. Caring for it well demands measurement over assumption: topography over guesswork, serial scans over single impressions, and conservative treatment before surgery wherever medicine can honestly do the job. That discipline, learned through subspecialty fellowship training , shapes how Dr. Jain practises across all three of his focus areas — cornea, cataract and refractive surgery.
